aboutNSKF

NSKF is an international organization that works for the development and promotion of a traditional Karate-do, with headquarters and Dojo Central located in Kobuchizawa, Japan among many other branches worldwide. NSKF was established to follow the spirit of Funakoshi and his way of Karate in cultivating the mind, body and spirit. Pemba Tamang  shihan (8th Dan) is the current President and Chief Instructor of NSKF. Pemba Tamang has been involved in Karate since childhood. His career in Karate-Do is exceptional. He trained for many years at the JKA Central Dojo at Ebisu under the direction of Nakayama Shihan. He attended the "regular" classes where he was taught by the most renowned instructors of the JKA (Nakayama Shihan, Ueki Sensei, Tanaka Sensei, Asai Sensei, Abe Sensei, Yahara Sensei ...) before embarking on the legendary Kenshu-Sei (school of cadres training future instructors) of the then unified JKA. He graduated shortly before the death of Nakayama Shihan, the same year as Naka sensei, one of the famous instructors of today's JKA.

The globalization and competitive development of Karate has had some positive effects on Karate, but unfortunately, both in Japan and around the world, the original principles of Karate are being lost. The NSKF, under the experience of Pamba Tamang, are working to restore these principles to Karate all over the world. We are committed to the development of Shotokan Karate and “the way”(do), and for everlasting World peace.

NSKF  BENEFITS

  • A framework of practice with clear and written rules and standards (Kyu and Dan Examination Programs, Competition Rules, Arbitration Rules, Written Media and Videos, Clearly Defined Technical Standard, Direction and Meaning of Practice, Methods of Examination) training, specific exercises 

  • Regular training seminars and trainings in Europe and around the world, under the guidance of its Chief Instructor Tamang Pemba Shihan.

  • An intensive 15-day training camp at the federation headquarters in Japan, the famous "Zenkumon Gasshuku" , also led by the Chief Instructor.

  • Regular international championships and support from NSKF headquarters for the organization of local, regional or national competitions.
